How to Get the Most Out of The Next Level Couple Challenge

This video is a primer for getting started. We recommend watching the videos with your partner and going all out on the challenges and ideas. This course is not intended to save a struggling relationship, but to enhance a relationship which has plateaued. If you are on the verge of divorce or breakup we recommend finding a therapist- www.psychologytoday.com is a great resource for doing so. However, if you're looking to turn a good relationship into a great relationship, you're in the right place.

Some of our tips for getting the most out of the program:
1. Look to change yourself, not your partner.
2. Be humble and brave enough to look at your part in things that are not working.
3. Listen for things you can use.
4. Keep an open mind when watching the videos. But more importantly, keep an open mind when listening to you partner.

NLC Challenge Model

This section is a brief summary of the model that Dr. Shayne Webber and Jere' Webber have devised through 20 years of marriage and being marriage & family therapists. Dr. Webber concisely explains the components of Empathy, Humility, Gratitude, Progress and Service.

Each proceeding section will be a further explanation of how these relational components work together to create a Next Level Relationship.

The Power of Language and Questions

The words and questions we use with others and in our heads have a direct impact on our relationships. This lesson provides insight to how to manage your words and get better results and explains how to attack the challenge of each section. The first step is mindfulness. Pay attention to what you say and the subsequent results. Be mindful of thoughts an words that lead to negative emotional states. As you change your vocabulary and change the questions you ask others (and yourself), you will see changes in your relationships and your attitude.
